Senior Pads

Senior pads are absorbent products worn inside ordinary or specially designed underwear to manage bladder leakage. Options range from thin, discreet pads for lighter leakage to longer and more absorbent products for moderate or heavier needs, with shapes designed for different body types and daytime or overnight use. The NHS notes that pads draw urine away from the surface to help keep the skin drier. Choose the pad according to the level of leakage, fit and frequency of changing rather than selecting the highest absorbency automatically. Replace wet or soiled pads promptly and cleanse and dry the surrounding skin gently. Pads manage leakage but do not address its cause, so new, worsening or unexplained incontinence should be professionally assessed.
