Nicotine Lozenges

Nicotine lozenges are fast-acting stop-smoking medicines that slowly release nicotine as they dissolve inside the mouth. They come in different strengths, flavours and sizes, including regular and mini lozenges, and may be used alone or together with a nicotine patch as part of a structured quit plan. Place the lozenge between the cheek and gum and allow it to dissolve slowly; it should not be chewed, sucked like a sweet or swallowed whole. Follow the maximum daily amount on the label and avoid eating or drinking shortly before and during use. Lozenges must be stored securely away from children and pets, and medical advice is appropriate for pregnancy, breastfeeding, people under 18 and those with recent or unstable heart conditions.
