Personal Hygiene

Personal hygiene products focus on daily cleanliness and odour management and may include soap, hand wash, shower products, deodorants, cleansing wipes and hand sanitiser. Different products are designed for different areas, so body, hand, facial and intimate-cleansing formulas should not automatically be used interchangeably. For hand hygiene, wash with soap and clean running water for at least 20 seconds, including between the fingers and under the nails. When soap and water are unavailable, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends a hand sanitiser containing at least 60% alcohol. Frequent cleansing can dry the skin, so a hand moisturiser may be useful when needed.
