Micellar Water

Micellar water is a lightweight facial cleanser commonly used to lift makeup, sunscreen, surface oil and everyday residue with a cotton pad. Options include standard cleansing waters, oil-infused formulas for waterproof makeup and fragrance-free products for sensitive skin, as well as formulas labelled for the face, lips and eye area. Choose a product according to your skin type and the cosmetics you use, and check whether the label advises rinsing or following with another cleanser. Around the eyes, use only products specifically intended for that area, avoid hard rubbing and stop immediately if irritation develops. The FDA also advises keeping eye cosmetics and applicators clean and not sharing them with others.
