Compare enzyme types and activity units, not just the total weight of the blend. Follow the label regarding whether the supplement should be taken before or with food, and check for allergens or animal-derived ingredients. Over-the-counter supplements are not substitutes for prescription pancreatic enzymes or professional evaluation of persistent pain, diarrhoea, unexplained weight loss or other ongoing symptoms.
